Shine day camp is a 9 week Summer experience for kids entering Kindergarten-7th grade in the fall. Each week, kids will experience tons of high energy large group and cooperative games, creative crafts, interactive technology, and engaging elective classes.

Fun gets crazy at Ultimate Tuesday events such as Organized Mass Chaos, Wet N’ Wild water day, and Lego mania. Weekly field trips include a party at Dave and Buster’s, zip lining through the trees at the Adventure Park, and playing unlimited laser tag at Castaway play café.

Shine day camp strives to provide the highest quality & safest summer child care in the metro Detroit area. Housed on the beautiful campus of Ward Church in Northville Michigan, Shine is a fully licensed day camp through the state of Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs division and has been creating summer experiences for kids for more than 25 years. Our handpicked staff must complete a background check, health screening, and intensive training before joining our team of counselors. With an 8:1 camper to counselor ratio, your child will get the attention that they deserve.

Shine day camp is designed to fit your schedule. Got a doctors appointment? Attending another half-day camp? Want to sleep in? No problem, you can pick up and drop off your kids whenever you would like from 7:30 am – 6 pm Monday thru Friday.

Shine day camp is designed for a budget. We know you have loads of important things to spend your money on, so we do our BEST to keep prices as low as possible while still providing an unforgettable experience.

Field Trips

Each week at Shine we go on a new exciting field trip.

Ultimate Tuesdays

Every Tuesday we go BIG before you go home! We pull out all the stops to give your child the ULTIMATE experience!

Snacks

Parents, don’t worry about packing a snack in case your kids get hungry throughout the day. At Shine we provide a morning and afternoon snack for everyone, everyday.

Electives

Who says you can’t have fun and learn at the same time? Each week at Shine your child will get to choose one of our engaging elective classes. Past electives include: Art explosion, cartoon drawing, Pom Pon, STOMP, Culture Exploration, Unicycling, Lacrosse, Fun with Foods, Book Club, Tech Madness, Photography, Gymnastics and many more!

Headquarters

It’s easy to forget about school during the summer, but at Shine we are passionate about making sure your child is ready for the fall. From fun math, science, and English worksheets, to educational games and interactive technology, your child’s brain will stay engaged all summer.

Activity Stations

Summers weren’t meant to be experienced from inside a building. At Shine we provide outside activity stations that are ALWAYS available for the kids. Favorite stations from last year include gaga ball, tetherball, volleyball, nine square in the air, and can jam.

Fun Friday

Every Friday afternoon we pop popcorn, set up a giant concession stand with tons of candy, pop, and prizes and we wind down the week by watching a movie together. The kids will use key rings that they have earned throughout the week for good behavior as currency to buy items from the concession stand.
